Job Responsibilities
You will model and plan DWDM transmission systems, conduct capacity planning and analysis, and integrate the DWDM network as an enabler for E2E IP (MPLS) connectivity. You will ensure DWDM network builds achieve 70% occupancy with a 30% growth factor, conduct due diligence for new DWDM products including trials, system parameter checks, and evaluations, and maintain updated DWDM network databases. You will manage DWDM transmission projects from inception to handover, coordinate with equipment suppliers to meet technical and commercial requirements, liaise with teams on equipment space and power availability, validate BOQs for procurement, work with the Implementation department during site surveys, facilitate network testing and compliance checks, provide periodic performance reports, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate with Technology Security teams, and optimize DWDM transport networks.

Job Requirements
You must hold a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a Higher National Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunications, have 5+ years of specialized DWDM experience in a busy telecommunications environment, and have experience in DWDM transmission planning, installation, commissioning, and projects. You should have fundamental knowledge of various transmission technologies including Fiber, Microwave, and DWDM, working knowledge of IP network principles, software-defined networking, network scripting/programming (e.g., Python), strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, interpersonal, and project management skills, and be computer literate with the ability to create management reports and use project management tools.
