Job Responsibilities
You will model, maintain, and analyze end-to-end systems and network capacity for E2E IP/MPLS core, IGW, CDN, aggregation, and edge networks, while maintaining IGW nodes and all deployed caches. You will validate IP service performance in terms of latency, jitter, and packet loss, troubleshoot and restore network faults within defined MTTR, implement optimization plans from the Engineering team, collaborate with vendors on software upgrades, bug fixes, and feature implementation, and facilitate network testing and acceptance with planning and infrastructure teams. You will harmonize operations of E2E IP networks with other transmission technologies, coordinate network improvement initiatives with OEMs and partners, ensure monitoring and preventive maintenance of all IP transport network elements, maintain spare parts inventory and network information database, comply with regulatory guidelines, conduct periodic reporting on IP/MPLS network performance, lead budgeting exercises for network operations, act as a technical liaison for all access transport-related issues, analyze Tx/RAN logs, maintain database accuracy, and identify network service problems to propose improvements.

You must have strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights for network maintenance, the ability to explore and recommend new technology options, and a strong stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications & Experience
You must hold a Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a Higher National Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunications, have at least 8 years of experience including 3 years in a specialized telecommunications role focusing on Transmission and IP Network operations, design, planning, installation, and IP/MPLS support, possess proficiency in various transmission network technologies and E2E IP network integration, have in-depth knowledge of IP protocols such as BGP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, Segment Routing, and IPv6, hold professional certifications such as CCNP or HCNP (expert-level certifications preferred), have knowledge of Software Defined Networking principles and network scripting/programming languages like Python, and be computer literate with skills in reporting and project management tools.
