Job Summary
China Communication Construction Company is seeking a skilled Foreign Road Engineer to support road construction projects. The role involves technical management, design review, on-site supervision, and coordination between Chinese, foreign, and local teams to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Engineering Department in preparing and translating technical plans, construction methods, and technical disclosures
• Review construction drawings and design changes; coordinate to resolve on-site technical issues
• Guide teams to ensure construction complies with relevant standards and local building codes
• Serve as a foreign technical interface, coordinating communication with local supervision units, owner representatives, and government engineering regulatory bodies
• Participate in project meetings and technical reviews, providing feedback on progress and technical requirements
• Coordinate technical collaboration between Chinese and foreign construction teams, ensuring accurate bilingual instruction delivery
• Organize construction technical documents, quality inspection reports, and progress reports; archive and submit for review to ensure completeness and traceability
• Support the project team in engineering-related technical work and address technical queries
• Participate in technical team building, guiding local technical personnel and enhancing overall team capabilities
• Complete other technical management tasks assigned by leadership
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Road & Bridge Engineering, Civil Engineering, Airport Pavement Engineering, or related fields
• Minimum of 3 years of road construction technical management experience
• Willing to work long-term overseas, adapt to on-site construction environment, and handle tight schedules and multiple concurrent tasks
• Good health and ability to adapt to African tropical savanna climate and on-site work intensity
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Project, Primavera P6, and other engineering design and schedule management software
• Strong expertise in road design and construction, with ability to manage international projects and coordinate across multicultural teams
• Fluent in English for technical communication and documentation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint)
