Job Purpose
The Driver is responsible for providing safe, efficient and reliable driving services for various departments and project teams in accordance with Plan International’s logistics procedures and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dependable vehicle driving services for staff and project activities.
- Ensure the safety of passengers, property and the vehicle at all times.
- Follow all traffic rules and organisational safety standards.
- Keep the vehicle clean, well‑maintained and in compliance with required inspections.
- Report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Support logistics and administrative tasks when needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate level education
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a driver
- Valid 3rd grade or above driving licence with no major accidents in the past 3 years
- Strong field driving experience in Afar region
- Diploma/Certificate in Auto Mechanics is an advantage
- Good understanding of operational and field contexts
- Fluency in the local language (Afaraf) is mandatory
- Automotive technical background is an added advantage
