About the Role:
Save the Children is hiring a Technical Lead for the Childhood Development Activity (CDA) – an early childhood education program supported by The LEGO Foundation and the Government of Ethiopia. The role focuses on improving the quality and impact of early childhood development and education in emergency settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee CDA implementation in line with LEGO Foundation & Govt. standards
- Manage technical teams and partners across regions
- Lead planning, reporting, and quality assurance activities
- Coordinate with ministries, education bureaus, NGOs, and key stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance in teacher training, community engagement, and monitoring & evaluation
- Ensure safeguarding, compliance, and ethical standards are upheld
Qualifications:
🎓 Master’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Developmental Psychology, or related field
💼 Minimum 8 years’ experience in managing early childhood or education projects (3 years with LEGO-funded projects preferred)
🌍 Experience working in emergency contexts and with multi-partner consortiums
🗣️ Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
