About the Job:
Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of HR Officer, Talent Development. The officer will plan, coordinate, and implement talent development initiatives and programs aligned with EHRC’s strategic objectives to enhance employee performance, learning, and leadership capacity.

Purpose of the Job:
To plan and implement talent development activities in line with EHRC talent strategies, supporting succession planning, employee development, and performance management initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collect and compile data to develop talent development plans and strategies.
• Contribute to the development of policies, tools, and guidelines for talent management and succession planning.
• Train staff on talent management tools and processes.
• Develop annual training and development plans, monitor implementation, and conduct periodic impact assessments.
• Coordinate the development and rollout of new employee induction programs.
• Implement employee performance management, including staff training and template usage.
• Contribute to the design of leadership development and succession planning programs.
• Conduct organizational diagnostics, recommend actions, and oversee implementation.
• Maintain updated talent development and succession planning data in the HRIS system.
• Research best practices and innovative approaches in talent development and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
• BA Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in HR management.
• Proven experience in training and employee performance management.
• Experience working with HRIS is a plus.
• Computer literate.
• Fluency in Amharic and English required; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage.
