Working with ETRE means joining a team that values innovation, reliability, and public service. The organization provides a professional environment where technical expertise and administrative excellence are highly regarded. As the guardian of some of the country’s most critical infrastructure assets, ETRE offers its employees the chance to be part of a legacy that is reshaping the physical and economic landscape of the nation, providing a deep sense of purpose and national pride.

By joining the Human Resource Management Directorate or our technical divisions, you gain exposure to large-scale public sector management and the intricacies of high-value asset maintenance. We pride ourselves on offering long-term career stability and the opportunity to grow within a high-impact government enterprise.
The Ethiopian Toll Roads Enterprise is an equal-opportunity employer that values a diverse and inclusive workforce. Job Description and Strategic Impact
The position of Secretary is a vital administrative role within the Enterprise’s core operations. As the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, the Secretary ensures that communication flows smoothly and that the administrative foundations of the office are secure. Your organizational precision allows leadership to focus on strategic infrastructure management, knowing that the documentation, scheduling, and office logistics are handled with expert care.
For the Driver/Messenger position, the strategic impact lies in the physical movement of critical documents and personnel. In an organization that manages vast road networks, efficiency and reliability in transportation are non-negotiable. You are the link that ensures the timely delivery of official correspondence and the safe transit of staff, directly supporting the operational readiness and responsiveness of the Enterprise.
The "day-in-the-life" for these roles involves high levels of responsibility and coordination. Whether you are managing complex filing systems and transcribing minutes or navigating the logistics of the capital and regional sites, your work ensures that ETRE remains a professional and high-functioning entity. Your daily contributions are the gears that keep the administrative machinery of the toll road system moving forward.
ETRE offers significant professional growth opportunities for its administrative and support staff. By working within a government enterprise, you will master public sector procedures and internal control frameworks. We encourage our employees to take initiative and refine their skills, providing a platform for those who demonstrate excellence to advance within the administrative hierarchy of the organization.
The strategic impact of these support roles is felt in the overall efficiency of the Enterprise. When administration and logistics are handled with integrity and precision, the organization can better serve the public and maintain the high standards expected of a national infrastructure leader. Your role, though supportive, is essential to the successful delivery of safe and modern toll road services to all Ethiopians.
