About the Organization:
SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia, established in 1974, works to support children who have lost or are at risk of losing parental care. The organization operates across seven locations in partnership with government and community organizations.
Role Summary:
The Project Finance and Admin Officer will manage the project’s financial operations, administration, and reporting. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, managing budgets, overseeing procurement, payroll, and asset inventory while ensuring compliance with SOS financial and safeguarding policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial transactions, budgets, payroll, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and donor requirements.
- Handle office administration, fleet, and property management.
- Oversee inventory and asset control systems.
- Support internal audits, capacity building, and staff coordination.
- Uphold safeguarding, gender equality, and code of conduct standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in finance and administration (preferably in NGO/donor-funded projects).
- Proficiency in accounting software (D-365), MS Office, and financial reporting.
- Strong communication, budgeting, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of local financial regulations and donor compliance.
