As part of its ongoing humanitarian response efforts, PAD is implementing a project funded by the Ethiopia Humanitarian Fund (EHF). The project focuses on delivering rapid life-saving assistance through camp coordination and multi-purpose cash support to populations living in high-severity crisis areas in Ethiopia.

To support the successful implementation of this project, PAD is seeking dedicated and qualified professionals to join its team as Field Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting Officers.

Job Description
The Field Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting Officer will play an essential role in ensuring that project activities are implemented effectively and achieve their intended results. The officer will monitor program implementation, analyze performance data, and support evidence-based decision-making across project activities.

The position focuses on developing and managing monitoring and evaluation systems that track the progress and impact of humanitarian interventions. Through systematic data collection and analysis, the officer helps ensure that programs remain accountable, efficient, and responsive to community needs.

The officer will work closely with project teams to design monitoring tools, develop performance indicators, and ensure that project activities are aligned with organizational goals and donor requirements.

A key responsibility of the role is collecting and analyzing project data to measure progress toward expected outputs and outcomes. This information supports program managers in making informed decisions and adjusting strategies when necessary.

The officer will regularly review reports submitted by field teams and ensure that they meet quality standards and reporting timelines. Accurate documentation and secure data management will be essential parts of the role.

Another important responsibility is supporting project teams in understanding and applying monitoring and evaluation tools. This includes providing technical support, training, and mentoring to staff involved in data collection and reporting activities.

The position also involves supporting the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that provide updates on project progress and performance indicators.

Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in one of the following or related fields:

Monitoring and Evaluation
Statistics
Development Studies
Economics
Project Management
Social Sciences or related disciplines

A Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be considered an advantage and may strengthen the candidate’s application.

Educational backgrounds that demonstrate strong analytical and research skills are highly desirable for this position.

Work Experience
Candidates must have between two and four years of relevant professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, or learning within development or humanitarian programs.

Experience working with monitoring and evaluation systems in humanitarian or development organizations is highly valued.

Previous experience with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) will be considered a strong advantage.

Candidates who have worked in field-based program monitoring or data collection roles will be particularly competitive.

Experience supporting project assessments, evaluations, or learning initiatives will further strengthen an applicant’s profile.

Fluency in English is required, both spoken and written. Knowledge of the local languages spoken in the operational areas will be considered an advantage.

Job Location
The positions are based in the Amhara Regional State, with field assignments in the following areas:

North Wollo Zone
Wag Himra Zone
North Shewa Zone (Debre Berhan)
South Wollo Zone (Dessie)
Sekota town field offices
