Job Description
The Performance Management Reporting and Analysis Expert will be responsible for delivering comprehensive analysis, diagnostics, and reporting across Safaricom Ethiopia’s multi-technology network (2G/3G/4G/5G). The role involves deep technical reviews, troubleshooting, performance improvement initiatives, customer experience enhancement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end analysis, diagnostics, and reporting of network performance.
- Perform deep-dive reviews of RAN and customer experience KPIs to identify performance issues.
- Analyze causes of call setup failures, interference, and low data throughput.
- Carry out KPI audits across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, including one-way speech, RTWP, RSSI, SCTP failure, sleeping cells, PDCP delay, and more.
- Conduct traffic trend analysis for CS, PS, data, and voice usage.
- Drive customer experience improvements across voice quality, data reliability, and network stability.
- Provide congestion and utilization analysis with actionable recommendations.
- Act as SPOC during network failure war rooms and coordinate RCA reporting.
- Support competitive benchmarking, drive tests, and scoring framework interpretation.
- Develop governance frameworks for customer network complaints.
- Provide advanced support to regional network quality specialists.
- Utilize tools and systems for performance intelligence, investigation, and automation.
- Drive RPA initiatives with NOC and support database/performance platform implementations.
- Lead network quality forums with vendors and OEMs.
- Prepare specialized and executive-level reports and presentations (TPR, nNPS, NED, traffic dashboards, etc.).
- Support engineering and cross-functional teams in product and feature rollout.
- Align network performance standards with Vodafone/Vodacom Group requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 8 years of network performance, analysis, planning, or engineering experience with a telecom operator, vendor, or consulting firm.
- Strong experience in incident and problem management processes.
