About the Organization

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that has worked for over 85 years to advance children’s rights and equality for girls. We operate in more than 80 countries, driven by the belief that every child possesses a power and potential that is too often suppressed by poverty, violence, and discrimination. Our work is particularly focused on girls, who are often the most affected by these systemic barriers. We are a global community of "determined optimists" dedicated to creating a world where every child can grow up in safety and dignity.

Our organizational culture is built on the foundation of inclusivity, transparency, and a relentless commitment to social justice. We strive to tackle the root causes of the challenges faced by vulnerable children, supporting their rights from birth through adulthood. By driving changes in policy and practice at local, national, and global levels, we leverage our decades of experience to create sustainable impact. Our operations are guided by a deep respect for the communities we serve and a commitment to long-term transformation.

We believe that our strength lies in our diversity. Plan International is dedicated to building a workplace that reflects the diverse communities we work with, offering equal opportunities regardless of age, disability, race, religion, or gender. We foster an environment where different perspectives are not only welcomed but are essential to our success. We are particularly focused on advancing racial justice and gender equality within our own teams, ensuring our internal practices mirror the change we advocate for worldwide.

In alignment with our core values, we explicitly encourage women and individuals from underrepresented groups to apply for this role. We are committed to providing a gender-transformative environment that supports professional growth and ensures that all staff feel safe, respected, and empowered. Our recruitment process is designed to be inclusive, ensuring that we attract a wide range of talent to help us achieve our ambitious goals for children’s rights.

Plan International also maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of harm or exploitation. We take our responsibility to keep children and program participants safe very seriously. Every member of our team is expected to uphold our Safeguarding and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) policies. By joining us, you become part of an organization that prioritizes the safety and well-being of the most vulnerable above all else.

You will be part of a supportive professional network that values innovation and dedication.
