About the Organization
Plan International is a pioneering independent development and humanitarian organization that has spent over 85 years championing the rights of children and the equality of girls. Our mission is built on the belief that every child possesses inherent potential, yet we recognize that this potential is frequently suppressed by systemic poverty, violence, and exclusion. By focusing on the root causes of these challenges, we aim to foster a world where children can thrive from birth through adulthood.
Our global footprint spans more than 80 countries, where we work alongside young people, supporters, and partners to drive meaningful change. We are not just service providers; we are advocates who influence policy at local, national, and global levels. Our expertise allows us to prepare communities for crises and respond with agility when disaster strikes, always ensuring that the most vulnerable voices are heard and protected.
The heart of Plan International is its people. We are a collective of determined optimists who refuse to stop until true equality is achieved. Our organizational culture is defined by inclusivity, transparency, and a relentless commitment to safeguarding. We understand that our impact is greatest when our workforce reflects the diverse communities we serve, bringing together a rich tapestry of thoughts, ideas, and lived experiences.
We are deeply committed to fostering an environment that embraces racial justice and gender equality. We believe that a diverse team is a stronger team, and we actively work to dismantle barriers that prevent talented individuals from reaching their full potential within our organization. Our workplace is one where every employee is encouraged to bring their authentic self to work every day.
In line with our core values, Plan International explicitly encourages women, persons with disabilities, and individuals from underrepresented groups to apply for this and all other positions. We are dedicated to creating a gender-transformative environment where female professionals can excel in leadership and technical roles, ensuring that our internal equity matches the external change we seek to create.
