Job Description
The Branch Manager I is responsible for leading and managing the overall operations of a bank branch. The role operates under the supervision of the Director of the District Office.

The Branch Manager plans, organizes, directs, and controls all branch activities to ensure effective service delivery and operational efficiency.

The position involves managing the branch’s financial operations while ensuring compliance with the bank’s policies and regulatory requirements.

The Branch Manager is responsible for mobilizing financial resources and promoting banking services to customers in order to increase deposits, loans, and other financial products.

The role also includes reviewing loan and guarantee applications by assessing the financial background and creditworthiness of applicants.

The successful candidate will approve loans, overdraft facilities, and financial transactions within the limits authorized by the bank.

Another key responsibility includes supervising local and foreign transfer transactions and ensuring they are processed efficiently and accurately.

The Branch Manager will also oversee foreign exchange transactions and ensure they comply with the bank’s policies and regulatory frameworks.

In addition to operational responsibilities, the position involves leading branch staff, motivating employees, and building a strong customer-focused culture.

The Branch Manager will also monitor branch performance and implement strategies to improve service delivery and financial outcomes.

Preparing and submitting regular reports about branch performance and operational activities is another important responsibility of this role.
