Purpose of Service:

• Provide timely, high-quality radiological and preventive healthcare services to UN personnel, dependents, and delegates
• Support effective clinical decision-making and promote overall client well-being
• Contribute to workplace safety and collaborate with stakeholders such as WHO and the Ministry of Health

Work Location: ECA ODESPS DA UNHCC
Expected Duration: 9 months

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review requests for X-Rays, Mammography, Ultrasound, and radiological consultations of external images
• Prepare and orient clients for examinations, explaining procedures briefly and clearly
• Perform X-Ray examinations according to local and international standards
• Guide clients on next steps and aftercare following all radiological procedures
• Process images to ensure diagnostic quality
• Communicate with consultant radiologists for accurate reporting and with requesting physicians as necessary
• Assist consultant radiologists during radiological procedures, managing equipment, client data, and report archiving
• Maintain hygiene and safety of the radiology unit
• Provide technical support to other specialists during radiological exams and emergencies
• Keep electronic and hard copy records of images and reports confidential
• Communicate results to clients in hard and/or soft copy format
• Perform emergency X-Ray examinations when required
• Participate in health campaigns and emergency mass casualty imaging as needed
• Regularly inspect equipment for proper performance and safety
• Ensure safety against radiation exposure for staff, clients, and visitors
• Perform duties with empathy, care, and adherence to ethical standards

Qualifications / Special Skills:

• First Degree in Radiography/Radiologic Technology required
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Radiography (or 10 years if Diploma holder)

Languages:

• Fluency in oral and written English required
• Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage
