About the Job:
Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) invites qualified applicants for the position of Human Rights Officer (Curriculum Design & Material Production). The position is responsible for performing day-to-day curriculum development and material production tasks, preparing up-to-date data, and collaborating with other officers to support Human Rights Education initiatives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the successful implementation of human rights education curriculum and content revision initiatives.
• Perform curriculum and content development activities for EHRC’s Human Rights Education Program.
• Analyze performance outcomes, operational efficiency, and environmental factors to improve content quality.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and update human rights education materials.
• Coordinate with training, research, and needs assessment teams to ensure continuous improvement.
• Support the development of promotional and awareness materials.
• Revise existing human rights education materials based on new research and feedback.
• Participate in forums and meetings to share best practices in human rights education.
• Provide guidance to trainers on tools and materials used for training delivery.
• Prepare regular reports and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
• LLB or LLM Degree in Law, Human Rights Law, or International Law.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience for LLB or 2 years for LLM holders.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Fluency in Amharic required; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage.
