Job Overview:
The Maintenance and Repair Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems to ensure equipment reliability and plant safety. The technician will diagnose equipment issues, conduct repairs, and support operational uptime in an industrial or process facility environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation faults in coordination with engineers and supervisors.
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify potential equipment failures.
- Follow maintenance work orders, job plans, and schedules as per CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
- Perform equipment alignment, vibration checks, and lubrication tasks.
- Assist in equipment overhauls, shutdowns, and turnarounds (TARs).
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in energy, petrochemical, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.).
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Good communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
