Job Description
The Infection Prevention and Control Supervisor (IPC Supervisor) plays a critical role in ensuring patient and staff safety by designing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention strategies in healthcare facilities.

This position is responsible for strengthening infection control systems in alignment with MSF and Ministry of Health protocols to reduce healthcare-associated infections.

The IPC Supervisor will work closely with medical teams, hospital management, and support staff to ensure that infection prevention practices are effectively integrated across all departments.

Key responsibilities include planning and overseeing infection control programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with standard precautions and transmission-based precautions.

The role involves providing technical supervision, coaching, and continuous training to both clinical and non-clinical staff to improve adherence to IPC standards.

The IPC Supervisor will also monitor hygiene practices such as handwashing, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and environmental sanitation procedures.

Ensuring proper waste management, sterilization processes, and safe patient flow within the facility is also a core responsibility of this role.

The position requires active participation in IPC committees and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement action plans for infection control improvements.

In emergency situations such as outbreaks or epidemics, the IPC Supervisor will play a key role in response coordination and implementation of contingency plans.

Educational Qualification
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery from a recognized institution.

A valid professional license from the relevant regulatory authority is required.

Additional certification or training in Infection Prevention and Control is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
