Job Description and Strategic Impact

The Data Analytics Intern is a strategic role designed to support Mercy Corps Ethiopia’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team. In an era where data drives development, this position is critical for strengthening the systems that measure program impact and ensure accountability to beneficiaries. You will contribute to the automation of MEL platforms and the creation of visualization tools that help the organization see the real-world results of its interventions across various humanitarian and development programs.

This internship is far more than a supportive role; it is a technical immersion into the world of humanitarian data science. You will be tasked with transforming raw data into actionable insights through the development of dashboards and geospatial maps. Your work will directly support decision-making processes, allowing program managers to adjust strategies in real-time based on evidence from the field.   1. Data Analytics Intern

Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or Statistics. (Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated within the last year).

Work Experience: Strong interest in analytics, data systems, and MEL processes. Basic familiarity with Excel, Power BI, or Tableau is an advantage.

Job Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (with potential field travel).
