The role of Radio Program Host and Producer is a high-impact position designed to bridge the gap between technical electoral insights and public awareness. As the voice of the “Yesua Dimts” radio program, you will be responsible for translating complex electoral early warning data into engaging, accessible, and peace-focused narratives. This role is central to CECOE’s strategy of using mass media to mitigate conflict and promote peaceful participation in identified hotspot areas during high-risk electoral contexts.

In this position, you will own the entire lifecycle of the radio program, from conceptualizing weekly scripts to final audio production. Your work will involve facilitating critical discussions with experts and community members, ensuring that the content remains conflict-sensitive and balanced. This is a unique opportunity to use media as a tool for social change, directly influencing public perception and encouraging a culture of peaceful dialogue among the diverse populations of Ethiopia.

The strategic impact of this role is profound; by producing 52 weekly episodes, you will provide a consistent source of reliable information that counters misinformation and promotes electoral integrity. Your ability to engage a wide audience will help de-escalate tensions and provide citizens with the knowledge they need to participate safely in the democratic process. This role places you at the intersection of journalism, peacebuilding, and civic technology.

CECOE offers a robust platform for professional development in the field of development communications. You will work closely with legal experts, conflict analysts, and international partners, gaining a deep understanding of the electoral cycle and peacebuilding methodologies. This experience will significantly enhance your profile as a specialist in conflict-sensitive media production, a highly sought-after skill set in the international development and media sectors.

Your daily efforts will contribute to a more informed and peaceful electorate. Every script you write and every interview you host serves as a building block for national stability. If you are a creative storyteller with a passion for peace and a background in radio, this role offers the chance to make a lasting, tectonically shifted impact on the role of civil society in Ethiopia’s future.
