Job Summary
The Driver supports the organization by safely operating assigned vehicles, managing daily transport needs, and ensuring vehicles remain in excellent working condition. The role covers routine driving duties, delivery of organizational materials, daily inspection of vehicles, and maintaining accurate movement records. The Driver also ensures proper handling of tools, cleanliness, and timely completion of annual inspections.
Responsibilities
Drives assigned vehicles responsibly while following traffic rules and organizational policies.
Uses vehicles strictly for organizational activities.
Monitors and records fuel and oil usage, ensuring efficient consumption.
Ensures tools and safety equipment such as spare tires and fire extinguishers are always available.
Maintains the vehicle’s cleanliness, conducts routine checks, and ensures timely servicing.
Completes annual inspection requirements before deadlines.
Delivers and collects letters, parcels, documents, and messages as assigned.
Accurately records kilometer readings and fuel usage before and after each trip.
Keeps an updated vehicle logbook and submits it regularly.
Reports any incidents, mechanical issues, or safety concerns immediately.
Conducts daily mechanical checks and ensures maintenance is done at recommended intervals.
Performs additional related tasks as needed.
Requirements
10th/12th grade completion with a valid Grade III driving license or equivalent.
Minimum of three years of directly relevant experience.
Skills
Strong sense of cleanliness and vehicle care
Good understanding of vehicle operations
Excellent knowledge of major and side roads in Addis Ababa and surrounding areas
Additional competencies in WordPress, Emotional Intelligence, and Ad Design
