Job Responsibilities
Program development and implementation
Lead overall project management.
Prepare a detailed project implementation plan and ensure its effectiveness according to the strategy and donor agreements.
Coordinate baseline and endline evaluations.
Prepare and adapt manuals for project and staff use.
Facilitate information-sharing, collaboration, and learning within the team.
Develop TORs and recruit consultants in coordination with Procurement.
Hire, coach, and conduct performance appraisals for project staff.
Organize regular team meetings to review progress and document best practices.
Coordination and Partnership
Serve as primary project contact with local partners, government agencies, and stakeholders.
Represent ChildFund in cluster meetings and coordination forums.
Provide weekly and monthly updates to the Emergency Program Manager.
Coordinate with project officers, local partners, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations and avoid duplication.
Resource Management
Collaborate with finance teams to manage project budgets and prepare forecasts.
Participate in procurement processes and selection of suppliers and contractors.
Track budget versus actual and take timely corrective action.
Manage budget expenditures and provide accurate status updates.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, and Documentation
Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans.
Conduct regular field visits to assess progress and quality.
Prepare timely narrative, financial, and data reports.
Monitor project impact and document best practices for future emergency responses.
Share necessary information with the Country Office.
Support documentation of best practices and challenges to guide future programming.
Risk Management
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
Regularly update the project risk management plan.
Resource Mobilization and Proposal Development
Participate in needs assessments for new emergency response projects.
Contribute to proposal development.
Help identify funding opportunities and engage potential donors.
Support resource mobilization efforts including in-kind contributions and volunteer support.
Job Requirements
Required Experience and Education
BA/BSc degree in Social Work, Sociology, Protection, Gender, Psychology, Public Health, Development Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, or related fields. A master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of four years of experience in project management, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
