About This Role
The Driver provides transportation services for authorized passengers and goods. The role includes caring for the vehicle, ensuring safety, and promptly reporting incidents and maintenance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Remain alert to child safeguarding risks and uphold ChildFund policies.
- Provide transport services for staff and visitors during and outside working hours.
- Transport staff and guests within Addis Ababa and field locations as assigned.
- Assist with pickup and drop-off of visitors.
- Maintain the safety and care of the vehicle, tools, and accessories.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in usable condition.
- Check fluid levels, tires, brakes, and electrical systems before driving.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately.
- Follow speed limits and national traffic regulations.
- Ensure seatbelt use by self and passengers.
- Maintain a valid driving license.
- Assist with mail distribution and collection (Post Office, DHL, etc.).
- Report accidents immediately.
- Maintain an accurate daily vehicle logbook.
