The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Addis Ababa and Permanent Mission to the African Union is recruiting a Secretary for the position of Executive Assistant.
The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Addis Ababa serves as a diplomatic and consular hub, responsible for bilateral relations with Ethiopia and representing Egypt's interests with the African Union. It handles services for both Egyptian citizens in Ethiopia and visitors, including visa processing, passport issuance and renewal, document legalization, and emergency assistance. The embassy also plays a key role in promoting political, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries.
🎯 Requirements, Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: 3-5 years of work experience is a must.
- Education: University degree in a related field (Business Administration, Law, International Relations).
- Background: Previous work experience in diplomatic missions is preferable.
- Skills:
- Very good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to describe facts and to present them in public.
- Very good communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
Language Skills
- Fluent in English and Amharic with good writing skills.
- Arabic language knowledge is of advantage.
Compensation and Work Details
- Work Hours: The working hours will be 40 per week.
- Salary: The salary will be appropriate and customary.
- Contract: The work contract is based on Egyptian and Ethiopian Labor Law.
- Note: A security check will be carried out prior to the signing of a work contract.
- Location: Addis Ababa
