SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia is looking for a qualified and motivated Project Accountant to join its Gode Program. The position is responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and maintaining accurate financial records to support program operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process financial requests, payments, and supporting documents.
• Manage bank deposits, receivables, and payables accurately and on time.
• Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and assist in account closing.
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and ensure proper asset control.
• Ensure compliance with financial and safeguarding policies.
• Support the program team in budgeting, reporting, and audit processes.

Qualifications:

• BA in Accounting or Finance (Master’s is an advantage).
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in an NGO setting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel; knowledge of D365 is a plus).
• High integrity and commitment to the values of SOS Children’s Villages.
