Job Purpose
The Senior Automotive Mechanic is a highly skilled master technician responsible for handling a wide range of mechanical tasks, from complex engine overhauls to routine maintenance and diagnostics, ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
• Perform major and minor engine overhauls for petrol and diesel vehicles
• Handle timing systems, cylinder head work, and internal engine components
• Carry out routine maintenance including oil changes, brake service, suspension checks, and fluid flushing
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic tools
• Ensure all repairs comply with workshop safety and quality standards
• Conduct final inspections and road tests before vehicle handover
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in a professional automobile workshop
• Proven ability to independently perform full engine overhauls
• TVET Level IV or Diploma in Automotive Technology
• Valid driver’s license
