β¨ About the Role:
Join NORCAP and the African Union to strengthen constitutional governance and the rule of law across Africa! This one-year position supports inclusive, rights-based systems that promote peace and democracy.
π§βπΌ Responsibilities:
- Support AU constitutional assistance programs in member states
- Integrate rule of law principles across AU initiatives
- Contribute to the Early Warning Response Mechanism
- Assist in drafting AU guidelines on constitutional amendments
- Conduct capacity-building sessions for stakeholders
- Support implementation of the African Charter on Democracy, Elections & Governance
π Qualifications:
- Masterβs degree in Law, Political Science, International Studies, or related fields (or Bachelorβs + 7 yrs experience)
- 5+ years relevant experience in governance or constitutional reform
- Familiarity with AU mechanisms and governance frameworks
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
