Job Description
The Service Desk Technician Intern will support daily IT operations by assisting users and maintaining essential technology systems. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in technical support and IT service management.
The intern will be responsible for receiving and logging user support requests through different channels such as ticketing systems, emails, phone calls, or in-person interactions.
They will provide first-line technical support for various devices including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
The role involves assisting with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and systems. This allows the intern to build strong technical foundations.
The intern will also escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary, ensuring that problems are resolved efficiently and professionally.
Maintaining accurate records of incidents, service requests, and their resolutions is another important responsibility. This supports organizational efficiency and accountability.
The intern will assist in user account management tasks such as password resets and managing access permissions.
Additionally, the role includes supporting IT inventory management and documentation processes, which are critical for operational control.
The intern will contribute to system migration activities, including transitioning from Active Directory to modern management tools like Intune.
They will also assist in promoting information security practices at the user level, helping protect organizational data.
