Job Description:
Reporting to the Sales Manager – Large Enterprise & Public Sector, the Corporate Account Manager will manage an assigned list of accounts (Target Market List, TML) based on geography or vertical industries. The primary objective is to drive segment propositions, revenue growth, and customer acquisition through effective account management, retention, and solution sales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying growth prospects for new, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities within the TML.
  • Driving adoption of relevant segment propositions to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Developing strategic plans for relationship penetration and implementing tactical plans including pipeline management.
  • Managing and monitoring relationship performance with baseline customers.
  • Growing solution sales within assigned TML through acquisition and deeper penetration.
  • Providing thought leadership and insights from customer engagements.
  • Developing and executing customer retention strategies, including ring-fencing existing accounts.
  • Building strong relationships at CXO and wider buying centers to understand mid- to long-term customer objectives.
  • Managing churn, contract renewals, and ensuring timely customer correspondence (within 24 hours).
  • Liaising with retail sales executives to ensure managed accounts visiting shops are well served.
  • Formulating and maintaining up-to-date Account Development Plans.
  • Leveraging company assets such as events and activities to nurture relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Managing daily, weekly, and monthly reporting cycles, and maintaining strict adherence to CRM (SFA) systems.
  • Driving Net Promoter Score (NPS) through strong account management and follow-up on customer issues until closure.

  • Enterprise Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Revenue achievement and product penetration
  • Customer acquisition: mobile voice & data connections, fixed broadband connections, MPESA merchants
  • Maintaining customer churn below 2%

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in service or customer management for major corporate clients.
  • Commercially savvy with knowledge of telecommunication products and related technologies.
  • Industry certifications (ITIL Foundation, MCP/MCSE, CCNA) are an added advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage pressure while delivering quality service.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications products, services, and customer issues.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM systems.
  • Good listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to accurately perform cash transactions.
  • Proficiency in English and local languages, both written and spoken.
