During this Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, students will explore the global importance of mineral processing and learn sustainable raw material utilization. The program equips scholars with problem-solving, communication, and entrepreneurship skills, while fostering collaboration with people from diverse backgrounds.
All selected students will experience physical mobility, studying in at least two countries different from their home country. The first semester will be in Finland, the second in Austria, the third in Croatia or Chile, and the final semester dedicated to thesis research in one of the partner countries.
This joint master’s program enables students to develop advanced technical expertise to improve processes that save energy and water, reduce waste, and promote recycling and reuse. Scholars will also conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures at work.

Eligibility Criteria
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Knowledge of mineral processing or extractive metallurgy
• English language proficiency
• Applicants who have already received an Erasmus Mundus scholarship are not eligible
• Must complete the physical mobility program
