Woreda Education Officer
Positive Action for Development (PAD) — Full Time | Oromia Region, North Shewa Zone (Fiche Town)
Positive Action for Development (PAD) is hiring three passionate Woreda Education Officers to join its Malala Fund Girls’ Education Project in Wara Jarso, Degem, and Kuyu woredas. This role plays a key part in promoting safe, quality, and inclusive education for girls in the Oromia Region.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate education project activities in line with project goals and timelines.
Work closely with schools, woreda education offices, teachers, PTSAs, and community leaders.
Provide training and capacity-building support on gender-responsive teaching and child protection.
Support advocacy and data collection for improved government policies and funding for girls’ education.
Monitor and evaluate program implementation, ensuring effective reporting and documentation.
Promote safeguarding and uphold PAD’s child protection principles.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Educational Planning & Management, Sociology, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in education programming (NGO/INGO/UN experience preferred).
Strong project management, communication, and report-writing skills.
Fluency in English, Oromiffa, and Amharic required.
Willingness to travel frequently, including to remote areas.
