Position: Store Keeper

Duty Locations: Dawa Zone, Liban Zone, Erer Zone, Jarar Zone, Nogob Zone (specific woredas listed in job description)
The Store Keeper will handle WFP food transactions, maintain proper receipts, categorization, storage, issuance, and accurate record-keeping of stock items to ensure proper store balance and timely distribution of food commodities to project participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee food distribution planning and implementation at woreda level in collaboration with commodity and program teams
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and data related to food commodities and distribution
- Supervise woreda-level commodity teams to ensure best practices in storage and distribution
- Engage with communities to conduct needs assessments and build capacity
- Maintain strong relationships with woreda, kebele, and other stakeholders
- Ensure proper management of food commodities according to minimum commodity management standards
- Demonstrate respectful interaction with communities and team members
Qualifications & Experience
- BA/BSc Degree or Diploma in Agricultural Economics, Disaster Management, Rural Development, Economics, or Development Studies
- 1–3 years of professional experience in store management or related fields
- Effective written and verbal communication in English; knowledge of local languages is advantageous
- Basic computer skills and digital cash management
- Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage and deliver projects on time and within budget
