Job Summary
The Store Keeper ensures proper handling, storage, documentation, and reporting of Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program (TSFP) commodities. The role coordinates with JEOP GFD and Nutrition field teams, maintaining accurate records using bin cards, stock cards, and inventory tools, while ensuring safe storage conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Commodity Management
- Handle warehouse goods and properties with consistent management practices
- Record all commodity transactions using goods receiving notes, goods issue, and bin cards
- Receive and issue commodities and other materials from the store
- Reconcile physical stock counts with bin and stock cards, reporting results regularly
Documentation & Filing
- Create and maintain a well-structured filing system
- Ensure proper stamping and organization of supporting documents (waybills, models, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar or related positions within food assistance projects
- Computer literacy is an added advantage
- Ability to perform field assignments and travel for extended periods in challenging conditions
