The United Nations is seeking a qualified Staff Assistant (G6) to provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for the Horn of Africa. The position supports peace, security, conflict prevention, and mediation efforts across the Horn of Africa region.

Key Responsibilities
Provide substantive and administrative support to senior leadership and manage workflow priorities.
Coordinate meetings, official visits, events, and representational activities.
Manage correspondence, scheduling, travel arrangements, visas, and administrative records.
Draft, edit, proofread, and quality-check official documents, reports, and briefing materials.
Compile, analyze, and present data to support reporting, planning, and decision-making.
Maintain filing systems, databases, websites, and information materials.
Support presentations, intergovernmental meetings, and internal coordination.
Handle confidential information and perform general office administration duties.
Education Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
A university degree may reduce the required years of experience.
Experience Requirement
Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative services or a related field.
Experience supporting senior officials in an international organization is desirable.
Experience with ERP systems such as Umoja and UN or international organization experience is an advantage.
