Job Description
The Service Desk Technician Intern will support the IT Service Desk in delivering first-level technical assistance to users at the United Nations Healthcare Center.
The role focuses on ensuring that hardware and software issues are resolved quickly and efficiently to maintain uninterrupted healthcare operations.
The intern will work closely with senior IT professionals, gaining exposure to real-world systems and technical environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving and logging user support requests through ticketing systems, email, phone, or in-person interactions
- Providing first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and medical systems
- Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of medical equipment and related IT systems
- Supporting troubleshooting efforts and escalating complex issues to senior IT staff when required
- Maintaining accurate records of incidents, service requests, and resolutions
- Assisting with user account management such as password resets and access permissions
- Supporting inventory management of healthcare IT systems and equipment
- Contributing to documentation and reporting processes
- Assisting in system migration activities, particularly transitioning from Active Directory to Microsoft Intune
- Supporting basic information security practices on end-user devices

Educational Qualification
Applicants should be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program in:
