Job Description
The Senior Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring construction materials and engineering services. This role ensures that technical specifications align with project Bills of Quantities (BOQs), optimizes costs, and supports high-speed project delivery.
The position will collaborate closely with the Procurement and Logistics Manager, Procurement Team, Senior Engineers, and QA/QC departments to maintain project standards, timelines, and compliance.
Educational Qualification
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in contract administration, office engineering, project follow-up, or supervision roles.
- Experience in real estate, construction, or civil engineering projects is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of contract management, bidding processes, and project follow-up.
- Expertise in supplier evaluation, cost negotiation, and contract administration.
- Ability to monitor logistics, expediting, and ensure timely material delivery.
- Excellent reporting, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Teamwork, proactiveness, and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement workflow to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Prepare technical and commercial evaluations of quotations, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
- Administer Purchase Orders (POs) and contracts, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain high-level relationships with suppliers and coordinate across departments.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve transit bottlenecks.
- Monitor market trends and material price fluctuations to inform procurement timing.
- Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems or logs.
