Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Manager, IT Application and Program Management Department, the Senior IT Application Management Officer is responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing the Bank’s business applications to ensure high availability, performance, security, and alignment with business requirements. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with coordination across internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support core banking and other enterprise applications to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
Monitor application performance, availability, and system logs, and take proactive corrective actions.
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex application-related incidents and problems.
Coordinate application upgrades, patches, releases, and configuration changes.
Support application testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews.
Ensure application security, access controls, and compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with vendors, developers, and internal teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
Maintain comprehensive application documentation, procedures, and change records.
Provide guidance and technical support to junior officers and trainees.
Prepare periodic reports on application performance, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
Participate in IT projects, system integrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, IT Application and Program Management Department.
Requirements
Education
BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in IT roles, preferably in application support or application management.
Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of application management, software systems, and SDLC processes.
Experience with databases, middleware, and application servers.
Familiarity with core banking systems and financial applications is an advantage.
Good understanding of IT security, access management, and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication, coordination, and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a regulated banking environment.
