Project Officer II – Cluster Coordinator

About ATI:
The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI), formerly the Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA), is a government institute that accelerates growth and transformation in Ethiopia’s agriculture sector. ATI works to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers through policy research, technical support, capacity building, and coordination of development initiatives. ATI collaborates with national and international partners to support evidence-based agricultural programs.

Position Summary:
The Cluster Coordinator will manage day-to-day operations in the Agricultural Commercialization Cluster (ACC). Responsibilities include coordinating planning, driving implementation of interventions, supporting Farmer Production Clusters (FPCs) transitioning to Farmer Production and Agribusiness Companies (FPACs), maintaining cluster-level agricultural data, and ensuring the use of program management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate planning and management of interventions within ACC.
  • Enhance capacity of FPCs to transition into FPACs.
  • Drive day-to-day stakeholder coordination and problem-solving.
  • Maintain communication and reporting with regional ACC program managers and key stakeholders.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Regional ACC Senior Director.
  • Ensure effective use of program management and reporting tools for decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Economics, or related fields.
  • At least 4 years of experience in value chain development and agribusiness projects.
  • Knowledge of Ethiopia’s agriculture, rural development policies, and commercialization initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in multicultural teams.
  • Fluency in English and Amharic (regional languages preferred).
  • Integrity, honesty, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
