Job Description
The Project Manager (Vita: ICS – PACT) will lead the implementation of the Improved Cookstove Project under the Participatory Agriculture for Climate Transformation (PACT) Program.
The role will oversee planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting across multiple regions.
The position will directly contribute to reducing environmental degradation, improving household health, and supporting climate resilience.
The manager will coordinate stakeholders, supervise project teams, and ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on large-scale climate and community development initiatives with national impact.
Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold an MSc in Agricultural Economics, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Environment, Climate Change, or related fields.
The academic background should support climate, community, and development project leadership.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of relevant experience in managing complex, multi-location development projects is required.
Experience in NGO environments and large donor-funded projects is highly preferred.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong project planning, coordination, and reporting skills.
Experience managing large budgets and multiple stakeholders.
Knowledge of improved cookstove projects, carbon initiatives, and rural finance systems.
Experience using electronic data collection tools.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Job Location
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with frequent travel to project regions.
Employment Type and Salary
This is a full-time position with a one-year contract, renewable based on performance.
