Project Manager (PM-AO) – Category II

Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) is seeking a qualified Project Manager to provide strategic leadership, technical oversight, and operational management for the BRAVE / Mullata Keenya – Our Vision Project implemented in West Hararghe Zone, Oromia Region.

Job Summary
The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of a gender-transformative and inclusive SRHR project across Gumbi Bordode, Mieso, Chiro Zuria, and Guba Qoricha Woredas. The role requires strong leadership, results-oriented project management, and expertise in SRHR, gender equality, disability inclusion, and youth engagement.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight to ensure timely and quality project implementation.
• Develop and implement project work plans, budgets, M&E frameworks, and reporting schedules.
• Manage integrated SRHR interventions including CSE, Champions of Change, disability inclusion, climate resilience, and advocacy activities.
• Lead and coordinate the FGAE project team and strengthen collaboration with EWDNA and other stakeholders.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government institutions, CSOs, CBOs, OPDs, private sector actors, and community structures.
• Ensure meaningful participation of adolescents and youth, including persons with disabilities, throughout the project cycle.
• Oversee gender-transformative and disability-inclusive approaches, including social norms analysis and community dialogues.
• Support MEAL systems and promote data-driven adaptive management and decision-making.
• Prepare and submit high-quality narrative and financial reports to Plan International Ethiopia.
• Facilitate regular project review and coordination meetings with community-based organizations.
• Document and disseminate project achievements, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, PSEAH, and environmental policies.
• Represent FGAE and the project in coordination forums and technical working groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Area Manager or supervisor.

Required Qualifications
• MPH/MSc/MA/BSc/BA in Public Health, Demography, Health Economics, Sociology, Population Studies, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience for MA/MSc holders or 7 years for BA holders.
• Progressive experience managing donor-funded programs or projects within CSOs or the public health sector.
• Experience in SRHR, gender, youth, or community-based projects in rural settings is an advantage.

Language and Contextual Requirements
• Proficiency in Afan Oromo and English; sign language is an asset.
• Familiarity with West Hararghe Zone or similar socio-cultural contexts is desirable.
