Job Description
The Project Field Officer will serve as a key community liaison, directly implementing project activities at the grassroots level.
This role is essential in fostering dialogue, building trust, and promoting positive social change.
The officer will engage communities in discussions aimed at ending harmful practices such as female genital mutilation and child marriage.
The position requires a proactive individual who can work closely with diverse community groups.

Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating structured community and intergenerational dialogue sessions
- Conducting peer education activities in schools and community settings
- Engaging community influencers and local groups to promote positive behavior change
- Organizing life skills, parenting, and leadership training sessions
- Mobilizing communities and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
- Collaborating with schools, health extension workers, and social workers
- Supporting identification and referral of vulnerable and at-risk girls
- Collecting field data, documenting success stories, and gathering feedback
- Preparing and submitting regular reports
Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
Additional qualifications in gender studies, public health, or development studies will be considered an advantage.
This role allows candidates to apply their academic knowledge in real-life community development settings.
Work Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in community mobilization or related fields.
Experience working on programs focused on harmful practices or gender-related issues is highly desirable.
Familiarity with the local context of Bahirdar Zuria Woreda and Dangila is strongly preferred.
Relevant experience will enable effective engagement with communities and successful project implementation.
Required Skills and Competencies
