Job Description and Strategic Impact
The Project Coordinator for the “Building Regional Capacity Amidst Aid Shifts: Technical Assistance” (BRCAAS) project is a high-level leadership role responsible for the overall technical oversight and implementation of a critical sub-grant. This position is strategically vital as it guides the transition of essential health services from external aid dependency toward sustainable regional financing. You will be at the forefront of health system resilience, ensuring that essential services continue to reach those in need despite shifting aid landscapes.
This role involves a high degree of collaboration with BKP Economic Advisors GmbH, Regional Bureaus of Finance and Health, and various international stakeholders. As the Project Coordinator, you will lead the planning and implementation of interventions focused on health financing and resource mobilization. Your leadership will ensure that Amref’s contributions are aligned with both donor expectations and the specific needs of the regions we serve.
The impact of this role is systemic and long-term. By developing and overseeing monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks, you will provide the evidence needed to refine health policies at the subnational level. You will translate complex data into practical improvements, ensuring that health systems remain robust and responsive. Your work in documenting success stories and policy insights will influence health financing strategies across the country.

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Health Services Management, Medicine, or a related field.
Work Experience: A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in health systems strengthening, health financing, or related areas. This experience should be within government systems or reputable international NGOs.
