You will work to understand and mitigate risks, including fiduciary risks, and ensure adherence to UK Government policies on fraud, corruption, and ethical compliance.
You will contribute to programme design and mobilisation, including supporting procurement processes to select implementing partners, as well as conducting due diligence assessments to strengthen partner systems. This position provides a platform to gain broad experience in operational management, strategic planning, and cross-office collaboration.
The Programme Officer will also support wider team and cross-office priorities. Opportunities include assisting in policy discussions, preparing communications briefings, contributing to corporate returns, and supporting Senior Programme Managers or Team Leaders in managing the broader programme portfolio.
This role provides exposure to high-level programme operations and the chance to influence the delivery of aid that directly benefits vulnerable communities. You will gain experience in managing complex multi-stakeholder projects and develop skills in leadership, risk management, and strategic programme oversight.
The position encourages professional growth through involvement in internal committees such as Learning & Development and Diversity & Inclusion, fostering a culture of continuous learning, mentorship, and networking within the Embassy.
