Job Description:
The Procurement Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing, evaluation, and acquisition of construction materials and engineering services. This position ensures that all materials and services meet technical specifications aligned with project Bill of Quantities (BOQs). The Procurement Engineer will contribute directly to the success of OVID Real Estate projects by coordinating procurement activities, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing cost-efficiency.
This role allows for significant professional growth, offering exposure to multi-project management, vendor engagement, and the chance to develop leadership skills in a collaborative environment. The Procurement Engineer will support senior procurement staff while gaining hands-on experience in all stages of the procurement cycle, from sourcing to logistics coordination.
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognized university.
- Candidates with additional certifications in procurement, supply chain management, or project management are encouraged to apply.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2–4 years of progressive experience in contract administration, project follow-up, office engineering, or procurement roles.
- Experience in fast-paced, project-based environments such as real estate, construction, or civil engineering is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously is preferred.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of contract management, procurement procedures, and project follow-up.
- Proficiency in preparing technical and commercial comparison sheets for vendor selection.
- Ability to evaluate suppliers and maintain an Approved Vendor List (AVL).
- Effective coordination with logistics and QA/QC teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of materials.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities to work across departments and with external suppliers.
- Ability to anticipate organizational needs and proactively offer solutions.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external vendors.

- Addis Ababa Head Office, Ethiopia.
