The Partnership and Contract Management Officer supports partner coordination, compliance, and contract administration. The role manages agreements (LOUs, MOUs, sub-grants), leads due diligence processes, supports partner capacity building, and assists the Grants Coordinator in daily grant activities. Frequent travel to field sites is required.
Responsibilities
Identify, vet, and onboard implementing partners. Coordinate due diligence assessments and document reviews. Manage development, amendment, and renewal of partnership agreements in line with MTI and donor regulations. Organize partner kick-off, review, and close-out meetings. Support partner monitoring visits and ensure compliance with program standards. Maintain updated partnership trackers and documentation systems. Conduct compliance spot checks with MEAL and finance teams. Report risks or gaps to the Program & Grants Coordinator. Support partners in donor compliance, reporting, and financial management. Contribute to joint learning, capacity-building, and field monitoring initiatives. Prepare permission request packages, MOUs/LOUs, work plans, staffing lists, budgets, and project documents for new grants. Ensure timely signing and circulation of legal documents. Review agreements and highlight action-required sections for the team. Update trackers weekly and monthly to ensure timely reporting. Facilitate internal and partner meetings and follow up on action points. Support contract issues and grant-related activities. Promote safeguarding and uphold MTI’s code of conduct.
Education
Degree in humanitarian affairs, international relations, or related fields.
Certification in Partnership & Sub-Award Management, Donor Compliance, or Contract Administration is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience with international NGOs or donors in grant acquisition/management. Experience with partnership and contract management, LOU/MOU processes, and ACSO procedures. Experience in humanitarian or emergency contexts preferred. Background working with BHA, PRM, ECHO, UNFPA, WFP, or similar donors is an added advantage.
Skills
Knowledge of humanitarian standards and donor systems. Strong organizational, documentation, and coordination abilities. Skilled in donor compliance and partnership management. Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication tools. Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, and teamwork. Ability to manage multiple priorities, travel frequently, and work under pressure.
