Maastricht University offers fully funded scholarships for outstanding international students applying for full-time master’s programs. The UM NL-High Potential Scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly living expenses, insurance and visa costs. A total of 21 scholarships are available for 2026.

€15,925 living allowance for 13-month programs.
€30,625 living allowance for 25-month programs.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant must hold a passport from a non-EU/EEA country.
Eligible for Dutch MVV visa and residence permit.
Must apply for a full-time master’s program at Maastricht University for 2026–2027.
No prior full degree completed in the Netherlands.
Preference for applicants without a previous master’s degree.
Under 35 years old by September 1, 2026.
Strong academic performance (GPA 7.5/10 or above).
Must be willing to serve as a UM ambassador during the scholarship year.
How to Apply:
Register for a Maastricht University master’s program via Studielink and obtain a student ID.
Submit required documents through the UM scholarship portal, including CV, motivation letter, academic excellence proof, reference letter and financial statement.
Applications must be submitted before the scholarship deadline.
