Job Description
Under the supervision of the Admin and Finance Manager, the Light Vehicle Driver ensures that the vehicle is properly maintained and functioning. The driver is responsible for transporting staff and volunteers to various ERCS operation sites, maintaining trip records including mileage and fuel consumption, and adhering to traffic regulations and schedules. The position also includes performing minor repairs, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring regular inspection, and supporting overall operational logistics.
Duties and Responsibilities
Checks vehicle oil, tires, fuel, and water levels to ensure proper functioning. Transports staff and volunteers to ERCS operation locations. Drives passenger and light vehicles to transport staff, guests, and light loads as instructed. Maintains the vehicle in good condition and performs minor repairs. Records trip details such as mileage, fuel usage, and destinations in line with internal control policies. Washes, cleans, and dusts the vehicle regularly. Ensures sufficient fuel, oil, and water levels and refills as necessary. Verifies the availability and condition of tools and accessories. Adheres to traffic rules and schedules. Replaces flat tires and assists with maintenance when needed. Ensures vehicle loads are within permissible limits. Arranges for periodic vehicle washing, lubrication, and inspection. Renews driving license per regulations. Reports major malfunctions to supervisors and assists in vehicle inspection and maintenance follow-up. Performs other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Specification
Educational Requirement: TVET Level II completed or 10th grade completed with a valid 3rd Grade Driving License (or equivalent). Work Experience: 4–6 years of driving experience.
