Job Description

The Junior Finance Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. You will be primarily responsible for managing the trade receivable process, ensuring that all financial transactions related to sales are recorded accurately and efficiently. This role is central to our cash flow management and overall financial stability.

Your day-to-day activities will involve rigorous credit control and debt collection efforts. By monitoring outstanding payments and working closely with clients, you ensure that the company maintains a healthy liquidity position. This requires a meticulous approach to financial data and a proactive mindset in resolving discrepancies.

Beyond receivables, the Junior Finance Analyst oversees the maintenance of the trade asset register. You will be responsible for ensuring that physical assets match the records in our books. This involve conducting asset utilization reporting and discrepancy investigations to safeguard company property and minimize financial risk.

Collaboration is a key component of this role. You will work closely with the Sales and Distribution teams to ensure contract compliance and streamline financial processes. Your insights will help these teams understand the financial implications of their activities, leading to better decision-making across the company.

Educational Qualification

Candidates for this position must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A strong academic foundation in financial principles is essential for success in this role. Work Experience

We require a minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related financial role. This experience should demonstrate a solid understanding of financial reporting and the ability to handle complex data sets. Experience within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment is considered an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in SAP is a requirement for this role, as it is the primary tool used for our financial management and reporting. Candidates must also demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools. The ability to navigate complex software systems with ease is vital for maintaining our high standards of accuracy.

Strong analytical skills are necessary to perform aging analysis and cash flow support effectively. You should be able to identify patterns, highlight potential risks, and propose actionable solutions. Attention to detail is paramount, especially when managing trade asset registers and conducting discrepancy investigations.

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential. You will need to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding financial matters and debt collection. The ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner is highly valued.
