Job Description
The ICS Cluster Coordinator will oversee the implementation of the ICS project under the Participatory Agriculture and Climate Transformation (PACT) Program.
The role focuses on coordinating project activities at the cluster level, ensuring smooth operations, monitoring progress, and achieving project targets.
The coordinator will work closely with zonal and woreda offices, supporting capacity building for local producers, women’s development groups, and community leaders.
This position plays a key role in the adoption and promotion of improved cookstoves and in fostering sustainable behavior change in the communities served.
The role provides an opportunity to lead multi-location projects with significant environmental, social, and economic impact.
Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold a BSc or MSc from a recognized university in:
- Rural Development
- Agricultural Economics
- Economics
- Forestry
- Natural Resource Management
The educational background should support community development, energy efficiency, and project management.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of relevant experience is required, preferably in an NGO or development environment.
Experience should include managing complex, multi-location projects and coordinating with high-level stakeholders.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) and experience facilitating CLTS processes.
Expertise in Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) methodologies.
Experience in rural development programming and community engagement.
Ability to develop training materials and conduct capacity-building sessions.
Proficiency in producing clear technical and program documentation.
Experience collaborating with government bodies, partners, and local institutions.
Strong leadership, team coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in written and spoken English; local language knowledge is an advantage.
Ability and willingness to travel frequently to rural and remote project sites.
High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

Employment Type and Salary
This is a full-time, one-year contract with the possibility of extension based on performance.
