Program Overview
The HZDR Summer Student Program 2026 offers international students a fully funded opportunity to gain hands-on research experience at the HZDR Research Center in Dresden, Germany. The program runs every summer from July to September for 6 to 9 weeks.
Accepted students will:
- Participate in scientific research projects under expert supervision
- Attend scientific conferences and workshops

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently enrolled as a Master’s or Diploma student in natural sciences or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree must be completed prior to the program
- For diploma students, verification of completion of at least the third year of study is required
- Student ID and academic transcripts must be provided
- Students who have already graduated are not eligible
Language Requirement
- No formal English or other language test is required
- Applicants must have sufficient English proficiency to communicate and understand research instructions
Seats Availability
- The program has a limited number of placements (approximately 20–30 international students), making it competitive
