Program Overview
The HZDR Summer Student Program 2026 offers international students a fully funded opportunity to gain hands-on research experience at the HZDR Research Center in Dresden, Germany. The program runs every summer from July to September for 6 to 9 weeks.

Accepted students will:

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be currently enrolled as a Master’s or Diploma student in natural sciences or related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree must be completed prior to the program
  • For diploma students, verification of completion of at least the third year of study is required
  • Student ID and academic transcripts must be provided
  • Students who have already graduated are not eligible

Language Requirement

  • No formal English or other language test is required
  • Applicants must have sufficient English proficiency to communicate and understand research instructions

Seats Availability

  • The program has a limited number of placements (approximately 20–30 international students), making it competitive
  • Early application is strongly recommended
