About the Role:
FHI 360 is looking for a Health and Nutrition Assistant to support nutrition activities in its humanitarian and development programs across Tigray, Amhara, Afar, Somali, and Oromia regions. The role involves providing technical guidance in nutrition services, managing malnutrition cases, supporting program monitoring, and ensuring adherence to international technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support in nutrition programs, including anthropometric assessment, treatment, referral, and counseling.
- Support case management for malnourished patients in wards and community follow-ups.
- Assist in data collection, reporting, and maintaining accurate project records.
- Support operational functions including program administration, IT, finance, and logistics.
- Contribute to capacity building and training activities for field staff.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection prevention standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health, Nutrition, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; NGO experience is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in field settings and multicultural environments.
